| Description: | To develop and maintain protocol conformance test product for UMTS/TD-SCDMA.

| Duties & Responsibilities: | - Provide technical leadership and day to day management of the team
- Liaise with other groups (development teams) for dependancies
- Lead the preparation of product and engineering specifications
- Manage all aspects of the software life-cycle from requirements analysis through to integratiion and acceptance testing
- Oversee documentation of work according to project needs and local procedures
- Use of appropriate software design methods and tools
- Use of configuration and change management methods
- Take responsibility for significant project deliverables as determined by Technical Project Manager/Product Development Mgr
- Ownership of project plans and schedules
- Be responsible for motivation, performance management, objective setting and development of subordinate staff
- Provide technical assistance to other departments within Anritsu and to customers
- Preparation and presentation of reports to senior management
- Ensure tasks are performed in accordance with the Department's ISO9000 quality procedures

| Required Experience: | - Technical leadership of development team
- Design authority experience
- Domain expertise in 3GPP protocols (particularly RRC, RLC/MAC), GSM/GPRS or other 2/2.5G protocols (<5 years)
- Experience of de-bugging conformance tests (3GPP TS34.123-3)

| Desired Experience: | - Familiariity with ETSI process for conformance testing
- Development of software under Windows environment
- OO software design methodologies and implementation using C++
- Experience of using Anritsu system simulator (MD 8480, MD 8430) and products (PTS, PCT)

| Required Qualifications: | - Degree within areas of Electrical Engineering, Software, maths, physics or telecommunications
